One mandate. One system. Verified results.
The National Agricultural Growth Scheme – Agro-Pocket (NAGS-AP) is the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security’s flagship input-delivery programme, implementing the Food Security Emergency Support Programme under NATIP. Its job is simple to state and hard to do: put quality seed, fertilizer and agro-chemicals in the hands of verified smallholder farmers.
Our mission Delivering quality, subsidised farm inputs to Nigeria's smallholder farmers through one verified digital system.
Our Vision A Nigeria that feeds itself the staple crops it imports today grown at home, by farmers the system can see and serve.
What is NAGS-AP?
NAGS-AP exists to close one gap: getting quality inputs to the smallholder farmers who grow most of Nigeria’s food, at a price they can plant on. Its answer is a single, verifiable delivery chain; one register of farmers, one subsidy system, one network
of certified outlets.
At the centre is Agro-Pocket, the programme’s ICT platform. A farmer registers with their NIN, is validated against national records through NIMC, receives an e-voucher on their phone, and redeems it for subsidised seed, fertilizer and agro-chemicals at a certified agro-dealer nearby. The same platform gives the Secretariat a real-time view of every delivery, in every state.
